VCI Poly is a special and highly used product at Cratex. VCI poly is our best defence against corrosion damage. Overseas shipments require the protection offered by VCI poly because of humidity and salt water. VCI poly allows us to say with conviction and confidence: Your material will arrive at the destination looking the same as when it left!
VCI shrink-wrap for ferrous and non-ferrous metals contains proprietary chemical formulations that release an invisible, odourless, and non-toxic corrosion inhibiting vapour into the air. Molecules settle on exposed metal surfaces and interrupt the electrochemical corrosion process. When the parts are removed from the packaging, the corrosion inhibiting molecular layer will vaporize into the atmosphere. Left behind are clean, dry, corrosion free parts ready for immediate use.
